Corsica is a French island situated in the southeast of France. This Mediterranean island is very mountainous with the highest peak at 2706 meters above sea level. During winter it snows. The island is surrounded by over 200 beaches and bays with a blue turquoise water. The best way to discover this island is to rent a car. Corsica offers some stunning sceneries with the Regional Nature Reserve and some lovely villages. For the more adventurous, there is trail named "GR20" that cross the island from the north to the south, from sea to sea via mountain. It's about 180 km for confirmed trekkers. It must be done during the summer season. Always check the weather before to start your trek. |
