HERVEY BAY - AUSTRALIA

Hervey Bay is located 300 km north of Brisbane in Queensland on the Pacific coast. Bordered by 40 km of white sandy beaches, Hervey Bay offers access to Frazer Island, the world largest sand island.
Hervey Bay is the"whale watching" capital of the world. Each year, about 3000 humpback whales migrate between Antarctica and the Great Barrier Reef to give birth and mate. On the way back to Antarctica, many of them stop for few days to Hervey Bay to rest.
From August to end of October, it's the season. It's a fantastic moment to see the whales coming to see us few meters from the boat. They play around the boat, look at us, dive under the boat and we really get a wonderful show, an unforgettable moment.
During August, the "Whale Festival" is hold in Hervey Bay during one week end.

Must do, Must see...
  • Go to watch the whales between August and end of October - stunning.
  • Go for a walk at the harbour.
  • Enjoy the coast and the beautiful beaches.
  • Go to Frazer Island.

Climate: Sub tropical climate.
