Salvador da Bahia is located in the northeast coast of Brazil. The city is very nice, particularly the old city named "Pelourinho". This is the heart of Salvador with its bars, restaurants, music and Capoiera dance. Pelourinho is made of colonial buildings, historical sites and churches. In the down part of Salvador, there is the market "Mercado Modelo", famous for its handicrafts.
Salvador infinite beaches stretch on the Atlantic Ocean. One of the best beach is Itapoan beach. You can also take a ferry behind the Mercado Modelo and go to Itaparica island for a day or more.
The carnival is very famous in Salvador and all people participate to the best moment of the year. |
